CAF delegation head to Liberia for Weah's inauguration

President Ahmad Ahmad, 1st Vice President Kwesi Nyantaki lead a powerful Confederation of African Football (CAF) delegation that are present in Liberia today for the inauguration ceremony of George Weah as President.

The delegation includes Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president and Executive Committee member Amaju Pinnick; ; 2nd Vice President Constant Omari Selemani; 3rd Vice President Faouzi Lekjaa; and General Secretary Amr Fahmy.

African great and Former president of the Football Association of Zambia Kalusha Bwalya and Ex Black Stars Striker Anthony Yeboah are also part of CAF’s team that will witness the swearing in of Weah.

George Weah (Coalition for Democratic Change) became Liberian President-elect in December 2017 after he won over 60% of the votes during an election runoff with incumbent Vice President Joseph Boakai (Unity Party).

The inauguration of George Weah is scheduled to take place on Monday, 22nd January 2018, in Monrovia, Liberia.
