Seven persons have been confirmed dead in a separate incidents after a heavy downpour in the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi Thursday evening.
A man believed to be in his early 40s including 4 children were retrieved Friday morning by the community members at Asebi in the Asokore Mampong Municipality which also left commuters and other road users in some parts of Kumasi being stranded.
Major areas including Sawaba, Aboabo, Anloga, Kwadaso, Tafo, Sepe Bourkrom have been flooded, with a number of houses submerged following the downpour.
The Total fuel filling station at Anloga junction was also flooded making it difficult for vehicles to cross from Oforikrom to the Aful-Nkwanta.
The affected residents who have their properties worth thousands of cedis destroyed counting their loses and have called on government to come to their aid.
