Ghana risks of Terrorist attack: Okudjeto


The Member of Parliament for North Tongu in the Volta Region Hon. Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa has stated that Ghana is likely to be attacked unaware by the terrorist.

Hon. Okudjeto who is also the Ranking Member of Parliamentary select committee on foreign affairs said the UK Prime Minister, as well as the Canadian government, have cautioned its citizens who intend visiting Ghana on any mission should be careful.

According to the Canadian government, Violent crimes including armed robbery and house invasion are on the increase as well as pick pocketing and purse snatching.

Affluent areas where foreigners lived are raided off while attacks on individuals on motor bikes are on the increase and this should be a concerned for all.

Nobody wishes that, but all indications show that we must prepare as a nation so that we’re not attacked unaware, even to the extent that UK and Canada have warned its citizens to make it more dangerous.

Okudjeto Ablakwa added that our security agencies must sit-up while our borders must be tightened.
