Former Presidential candidate of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) has described as a demotion the appointment of his successor, Edward Nasigri Mahama as Ambassador-at-Large by President Akufo-Addo.
Per the appointment, Hassan Ayariga who spoke on Adom News stated that Dr. Mahama is now an “errand boy” for the President.

President Nana Akufo-Addo appointed the 2016 flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Edward Mahama as an Ambassador-at-Large.
The 72-year-old is among 21 others who have been appointed to represent Ghana as diplomats in other countries.
They were all sworn in by Nana Akufo-Addo on Monday.
As an ambassador-at-large, Dr Mahama will have special duties but not appointed to a particular country.
