Ashanti regional director of Lands Commission Nana Kwampong Aboah II has advised Ghanaians to make necessary inquiry from offices of lands commission across the country.
According to Nana Kwampong, few people go to lands commission to make inquiry before entering into land transactions with anybody to avoid unnecessary land litigation.
Issues of land guards a potential threat to National Security is as a result of people’s failure to inquire from the lands commission’s office before engaging in any transaction.
Because people don’t want to pay taxes to the government, they normally dodge coming to lands commission for land title registration, land mapping, and surveying.
Surprisingly the system has been so loosed to the extent that some Assembly members sell state lands to individuals without any proper documentations or relevant certification.
The most annoying part is that deliberately state lands encroach and the nation loses at the end.
