In most advanced countries people’s living with the disability is appropriately and adequately catered for regarding their welfare and well-being.But in most of Africa precisely Ghana the story is different, and sometimes they are even thrown out of their homes.

Sadly people living with all forms of disability are discriminated from those perceived as “Normal People” Meanwhile we all contribute our quota to the progress and development of this country.

In an exclusive interview with Metro news, Mr Ntim Twumasi Kwaku who is a physically challenged person and also a member of NPP communication team urge the government to ensure the disability Act is passed into law to benefit the less privileged in the society.

Mr Ntim Twumasi Kwaku who was a former British Army before becoming physically challenged as a result of an accident understand how the UK and other countries treat disables and urge the government to emulate them.

Almost all the buses in the country both Public and Private are not handicap friendly and therefore appealed to CEO of State Transport Cooperation (STC) Nana Akomea to put in place measures that will make the buses more disability friendly,

It’s time we consider disables in all decisions as a country and probably find some allowances for their up keep.
