Medeama assumed the summit of the Ghana premier league after beating Aduana Stars 2-1 in an outstanding league fixture on Sunday afternoon.
The victory has seen the Tarkwa-based side open a two-point lead over Ashantigold.
Midfielder Kwesi Donsu netted a brace and was voted man of the match. Sam Adams had equalized for the visiting Aduana Stars through the spot in the 50th minute but Donsu who gave his side the lead after only 6 minutes added a second in the stoppage time from a brilliant effort.
Coach Samuel Boadu and his boys have done a tremendous job this season and they still stand a realistic chance of being declared winners of that unfinished contest – a decision which will enhance their title challenge this season.
