Prophet Kofi Amponsah warns Christians over ‘funeral food’

Prophet Kofi Amponsah, Founder and leader of House of Ezra Prayer Centre

Founder and leader of House of Ezra Prayer Centre located at Asromaso Nkwanta in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region, Prophet Kofi Amponsah has cautioned Christains against the habit of consuming foods at funeral occasions.

According to the prophet, it is always not proper and against Christian values to accept Food packages on such occasions.

The famous Prophet was speaking during a 5-Day Prayer and Fasting program organised at the House of Ezra Prayer Centre on Monday 14Th August 2017.

Food has always been a part of our funeral rituals, no matter where you are from. The act of consuming food is a shared community experience, a show of appreciation for the sympathisers.

For most cultures today, sharing a meal after the funeral has become pretty standard; indeed, it’s considered rude to refuse. In any case, there’s no better way to prove you’re alive, as compared with the body in the box you’ve just said farewell to, than by eating.

The simple truth is that food goes a long way in helping survivors cope with their loss.
